Frequently asked questions
Before Mobility Can I still apply if I have already started? No, this is not possible. Am I eligible for this grant if the institution is not on the Partner Universities website, but I have been selected and nominated for an exchange by my faculty? It could happen that a contract with the partner institution has expired, is in the renewal phase or is being discontinued and therefore may not appear on the list. Please contact outgoingglobal-esa@tudelft.nl and we will advise you further. Am I eligible for this grant? Please check the eligibility part of this webpage. What if my plans to travel are cancelled. What do I need to do? Please send an email to outgoingglobal-esa@tudelft.nl and we will assess your case. Contact your faculty international office too. I am going on an exchange programme to the UK, can I apply for the STIR fund? Yes. The UK is no longer a member of the EU. If I am applying for other grants can I still apply for the STIR grant? Under Terms and conditions I need to carry out promotional activities? What do I need to do for this? Discuss your plans for the promotional activity with your international exchange faculty coordinator before you set off for your exchange. He or she may be able to provide you with information materials, such as a PowerPoint presentation or brochures. From some foreign partner universities, we already have enough incoming students. In that case, your faculty coordinator will inform you that a promotional activity is not necessary. If a promotion activity is needed, in principle, you are free to devise something yourself. Here are some ideas: The guest university organises a STUDY ABROAD Fair in which you can participate. You could give a presentation in the faculty where you are studying abroad. You may have a good idea of your own and can promote TU Delft in another way. If other TU Delft students are going to the same partner university, you can also arrange a joint promotional activity. You can find an example here . Always make sure you notify your contact at the partner university about the activity you are planning. After Mobility Where can I upload the travel report? Go to osistud.tudelft.nl (do not go to My.TUDelft.nl) and click on the blue ‘Log in’-button on this page. Click on ‘Stay abroad` or “Buitenland”, this is where you applied for the grant originally. Click on Detail and upload your Travel report. Consult the student manual for extra information in the application procedure page. I need extra time to finish my travel report, how can I request this? Send an email to outgoingglobal-esa@tudelft requesting the length of time needed to complete this task, and provide an explanation as to why. If you do not request this extension, your grant will be cancelled after the 2nd reminder. I did not respond to the two reminders to upload my travel report and it has been cancelled. Can I still upload it and receive the grant? Unfortunately, the grant has been cancelled because you did not fulfil the conditions of this grant, TU Delft reserves the right to cancel your grant.
