MS Teams Online Meetings

Online Meetings, with up to 300 participants, can be used for interactive classes, study groups, and one-on-one sessions, providing real-time communication, screen sharing, and collaborative tools. For audiences between 300 and 1000 students, you should consider requesting the Advanced Communications License (ACL).

Before your Meeting

There are several options to schedule a meeting and invite attendees:

During your Meeting

After your Meeting

After the meeting, the meeting chat stays available. The Whiteboard is not saved, so if you want to save that, you must do that before the meeting ends. The Meeting Notes are saved and are posted in the channel automatically after the end of the meeting.

When the meeting is recorded, a recording is available for everyone after the meeting is scheduled to end. If the meeting was held on a channel, everyone on the channel could download the recording. After downloading the video file, one can always manually upload and share the file, for instance within your team or somewhere external, such as Brightspace.

Breakout Rooms

During your online lectures you can create breakout rooms which allow for small group discussions, evaluations, and collaboration. You can also drop into the breakout rooms to offer support and answer questions.
