TU Delft hosted the Sustainable Urban Energy Systems Conference on the 8th and 9th of November. An international event that focused on the technological prospects, citizen involvement and governance arrangements in the field of urban energy systems. Because: ambitious climate change targets can only be realised by transforming urban energy systems into smart low carbon energy systems. Christine Milchram, researcher at TPM, provides key insights on the event.

Prof. dr. Marc de Vries, bijzonder hoogleraar reformatorische wijsbegeerte aan de TU Delft, geeft in deze column zijn visie op toekomstvoorspellingen van technologische ontwikkelingen. Hij licht hierin met name het onderwerp kernfusie uit.

Voor de derde keer organiseerde het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat in samenwerking met Veiligheid Voorop in het kader van het programma Duurzame Veiligheid 2030 een essaywedstrijd. Op maandag 24 september heeft Staatssecretaris Stientje van Veldhoven tijdens het jaarcongres ‘De wereld draait veilig’ van het programma Duurzame Veiligheid 2030 de winnaars van dit jaar feestelijk bekend gemaakt.
