During the Geothermal Get-Together on 29 November 2018, it was announced that research on Geothermal Science and Engineering at TU Delft got another boost. A consortium of seven partners signed a certificate for sponsoring an Assistant/Associate Professor.

Sustainable Urban Energy Systems Conference Ambitious climate change targets can only be realized by transforming urban energy systems into smart low carbon energy systems. Thinking and discussing about how to achieve this happened on November 8 and 9 at TU Delft and The Green Village by 150 attendees, from more than 90 organizations and 16 – not only European – countries.

On the 26th and 27th of October 2018, the second edition of the Delft Climathon was organized as an Climate-KIC event with the Urban Energy Platform, the Green Village and the municipality of Delft joining in on the organization. Over 35 students and young professional worked 24 hours on tackling two challenges defined by the city of Delft

On the 4th of October almost 70 researcher active in the field of urban energy at TU Delft met at X TU Delft to present there research, discuss ideas for future research projects and explore opportunities for collaboration.

TU Delft’s new education building Pulse has an A++++ energy label. It is the first energy-neutral building on campus. The roof is home to 490 solar panels (750 m2) with an annual yield of 150,000 kWh.
