“Sometimes, we tend to be too critical of ourselves. Our qualities, whether good or bad, are what make us unique and I think that in itself is a beautiful thing.”

Hii currently offers three mental wellbeing workshops at X...

... which are 'My Strengths', 'Good Conversations', and 'Dealing with Stress', each of which involves both individual and collaborative activities. My passion for mental health and well-being grew from my personal experiences as well as inspirations from people around me. Having studied Industrial Design in my Bachelors gave me the opportunity to explore mindfulness and develop a device that helps people perform breathing exercises. Till date, it is a project that is very close to my heart. Ever since, I have been seeking opportunities that allow me to not just help myself but others around me as well. This passion led me to Hii which I think is a great initiative. I consider myself lucky to be part of it and serve as the current Chair of this community.

Hii is a community of students...

...who facilitate low-threshold workshops and events to open up conversations about mental well-being and building resilience. These workshops are available for all students and meticulously developed in collaboration with TU Delft Psychologists. With these workshops, Hii offers an open and supportive arena for peer support and aims to create awareness, develop connection and build resilience.

A moment I can recall from a workshop...

... that has stuck with me is when a student shared a quality of theirs which they saw as a weakness but in the eyes of other students, it was really a strength. The other students were able to see that quality more positively. It made me think that sometimes, we tend to be too critical of ourselves. Our qualities, whether good or bad, are what make us unique and I think that in itself is a beautiful thing.
