Back to school! This new academic year brings us a fresh start with brand new courses such as Intercultural Communication in Education and Prompt training for Language Models. Although not new, but in a nice fresh new look the training Designing and Teaching an Online Course is now available. In this article you will read about some trainings we held recently and trainings that are coming up, so that you can keep enhancing your teaching skills with our training sessions.
Looking back: summer school
During summer the Teaching assistants were given special care. Some enjoyed the training to assist teaching for campus courses, others enjoyed the training to moderate and build online courses. Around 55 Teaching Assistants were trained. Cheaupeu to them!

Intercultural Communication in Education
This three session workshop has been launched for the first time in September, and has a great diversity of participants with either a teaching task or tasks related to teaching. A lot of different backgrounds with many interesting discussions that equip them to promote inclusivity in their own working environments. No new dates for our next run yet but this is definitely a keeper! Keep an eye on our trainings portal for more information.
Designing and Teaching an Online Course
The countdown has started, as this long awaited training will start on 17 September. You will learn how to form and create your own online course. In six modules you will progress through four phases: planning, production, running, and evaluation. Throughout the course, you’re encouraged to join discussions and share your work on the platform. You will receive formal feedback from instructors on your submissions and can attend weekly online consultations to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss assignments. By the end, you’ll have a practical blueprint, storyboard, fully-developed module, and communication and evaluation plans for your online course. Learn more and register here.
Prompt Training for Language Models
With this brand new training you will learn how to use large language models like ChatGPT. You will explore the usages of language models and apply different techniques for developing prompts. The training is available on Brightspace as from 1 October. Interested? Click here to register.
