TU Delft employees can apply for a recording of (a series of) lectures or of an event/conference.

Recording a lecture

The NewMedia Centre (NMC) will record the requested lectures. You application will be assessed on the basis of logistical feasibility. After recording the lectures will be published online on Collegerama.nl and Brightspace.

How to apply for a recording
There is a possibility that there is a policy at the faculty to centralize requests for admissions. It is advisable to check this with the relevant Education Coordinator for Education & Student Affairs.

Prior to a new teaching period, we send an e-mail via Brightspace to the Course Managers group 8 weeks in advance. In this way we draw attention to the possibility of having lectures recorded.

Applications can be done via the application system on the Collegerama website. You will need your NetID (application via e-mail is not possible). On this page you can fill what needs recording. If there are costs involved with the application, this will be indicated here. If we do need to charge you for certain costs, you will need a budget or project code.

You will receive a confirmation of your application by email. One week prior to the indicated period/time slot you will receive an email stating whether the lecture(s) will be recorded or not. Due to logistical limitations of the NewMedia Centre or on request of the faculty where the lecture is given, a recording can be cancelled (free of charge).

Events and conferences

If you want a recording of an event, you can make an application via the application system op the Collegerama website. You will need your NetID (application via e-mail is not possible). On this page you can fill what needs recording. If there are costs involved with the application, this will be indicated here. If we do need to charge you for certain costs, you will need a budget or project code.

On the basis of your application you will receive an indication of the costs. The application can only be processed definitely after approval of this quotation. Note: all (external) speakers need to give their approval prior to the recording. If they do not give their permission, than this person will not be recorded. 

Do you want to record a video yourself? The New Media Center has a small "Do it yourself studio" in which every TU Delft employee can record a video after a brief explanation. This studio can accommodate up to two people and has a professional camera and microphone, an autocue, the right studio lighting and a green wall. As a TU Delft employee you can book the studio for free.

The NewMedia Centre produced videos for various purposes:

• For education such as blended learning, MOOCs, or Professional Education (ProfEds)
• To promote for example a new service, a conference or a research group
• For informational purposes such as instruction or explanation

We produce video for primary campus education free of charge For videos for other purposes, we provide a price indication in advance. The NewMedia Center has a professional recording studio with a greenscreen and the most modern image and sound equipment, operated and managed by experienced technicians.

The NewMedia Center also has a Virtual Reality application (HTC Vive) and an Augmented Reality glasses (Microsoft HoloLens). We are experimenting with possible applications in education.
