“Co-creating the graduation journey” showcase
The research team behind the “Co-creating the graduation journey” project has created a showcase video to share their first intervention’s goals and results.
By carrying out a survey and after setting up short interviews with some of the participants, they could collect valuable learnings and insights. For instance, they observed that graduating students perceive discussions with their peers as comforting, acknowledging that this helps them with their own projects. Additionally, they noticed how weekly check-ins provided the students with further support and motivation. Making them feel part of a community, the first intervention also improved their work method and helped them in structuring and planning their week.
As one student reported: “I really like the fact [the session] it’s on Mondays, because it kick-starts your week!”. Or in the words of another participant: “This feeling of being with a group of students – this project group feeling – I can’t remember how long ago I felt it for the last time… especially since I started my graduation!”.
The project, run by Marie van den Bergh, Mieke van der Bijl-Brouwer, Rebecca Price and Eva Legemaate, is ongoing and the second intervention is being prototyped over the next month.
