African Water Corridor Scholarship
Starting in 2025-2026, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CEG) will offer the African Water Corridor Scholarship for two excellent Sub-Saharan Africa students in the Master programme Environmental Engineering, track Water Resources Engineering.
TU Delft is proud to establish the African Water Corridor Scholarship for talented and ambitious MSc students from Sub-Saharan Africa. We are especially encouraging students from Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania to apply for this opportunity.
The two-year master scholarship will be established at the TU Delft Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CEG). In the master programme Environmental Engineering you learn how to cope with shortage and abundance of resources such as water and waste, the effects of climate change on liveability in cities, air pollution and the depletion of natural resources, such as groundwater. These challenges are of utmost relevance in a world under change that is experiencing population growth and demanding more clean resources than ever. As an Environmental Engineer you will study these challenges and develop engineering solutions in the fields of air quality, hydrology and water resources management, water technology and urban water infrastructure, fields in which TU Delft has a long-standing history.
The scholarship comprises full tuition fees for this 2-year TU Delft CEG Master programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate and contribution for the living expenses.
The scholarship is part of the TU Delft | Global Initiative Scholarship Fund: for many talented students in low- and middle-income countries, it is often not feasible to study at a world-class university of technology. TU Delft and Delft University Fund have therefore established the Delft Global Scholarship Fund. Thanks to the support of private donors we can enable exceptionally talented and motivated students from Sub-Saharan Africa to obtain an engineering degree at TU Delft. The grants contribute to strengthening the partnerships we have with African knowledge institutions and promote future leadership focused on inclusive, sustainable global development.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are a guiding principle for TU Delft.
