Guillermo Prieto Viertel

Hi! I am a 2d year MSc student in the Engineering and Policy Analysis program at the Delft University of Technology. My background is in physics, and I am also a philosophy student. My main interest is urban development focusing on inclusion, sustainability, and well-being. Currently, I am working on my MSc thesis at the TPM Resilience Lab. The project analyzes the so-called "balanced neighbourhoods" policy. It argues in favour of a more balanced distribution of housing in Rotterdam's neighbourhoods to improve the social resilience of their citizens. Attaining a balance is tricky: it can lead to the exclusion of certain groups. With my work, I aim to help better such policies' legitimacy.
