[PDE&A] Sharmila Gunasekaran: Linear waves in spacetimes

This talk will explore the connection between the stability problem for spacetimes in general relativity and the analysis of wave equations. After introducing some notions on how to quantitatively characterize (in)stability in general relativity, I will present a result for a class of spacetimes called gravitational solitons which exhibit slower decay compared to black holes.
