Calls

The DCC has two types of calls for researchers (including PhD candidates and PostDocs): Hands-on project support for individuals or groups and a mentorship program called FAIR4RS-program, for individuals. Each call is issued once a year: the hands-on support in September and the FAIR4RS program in February.

The hands-on support aims at projects with software development and/or data management components. The DCC team members will join your research group part-time for a period of 3 up to 11 months to assist you with finding solutions, transferring best practices and techniques, and setting up computing infrastructure for your project. In line with our mission, we will focus on projects that are willing to apply the FAIR principles in pursuing their specific research goals. Projects should also be open to exploring the benefits of joining open science through implementing best practices such as documenting project data and code and working collaboratively.

The FAIR4RS program focusses on implementation of best practices in your own project. It is structured to guide you through the essentials of reproducible research software, the application of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles, and the refinement of your research software projects that may include data, computational workflows, machine learning models, analysis, scripts, notebooks, etc.
