Huijuan Wang
Huijuan Wang is currently an Associate Professor in the Multimedia Computing Group at Delft University of Technology. She was born in Harbin, China. She graduated and received her M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. degree (cum laude) in 2009 at the same faculty. She has been a visiting scientist at Boston University (Department of Physics, hosted by Prof. H. Eugene Stanley) since 2011 till 2019, at Stanford University (Department of Electrical Engineering, hosted by Prof. Stephen P. Boyd) for the period April-August 2015 and at Princeton University (Department of Electrical Engineering, hosted by Prof. H. Vincent Poor) for the period April-August 2022. More about her can be found in her CV and webpage.
Research domain: Network Data Science
-
Data driven modelling of dynamic processes on (interdependent, time-evolving and multi-layer) networks. Examples of processes: viral spreading, opinion interactions, social and financial contagion, cascade of failures, and criminal organization.
-
Targeting problems: analysis, prediction and control of these processes.
-
Application domains: critical infrastructures, social networks, urban systems, criminal organization, economic systems and brain networks.
-
Fundamental network science problems: characterization, prediction, and modelling of temporal high-order networks.
