In general, we have set the admission requirements to ensure that future EWEM students are well prepared to study EWEM successfully.
You find the requirements and deadlines for the English Proficiency and BSc degree here. These are strict rules and no exception to the rules can be made for students who deviate, i.e. late graduation (in September or later), late submission of the English language certificate, insufficient English language scores, accepting other types of English language certificates, etc..
For all other requirements: The lack of one or more of the requirements will be weighed against the other qualifications of the applicant, and possible admission might be considered.
Please note: The assessment of your application will be based on the documents you submit with your application only. So, please ensure that your qualifications and motivation is clearly described and understandable. Additional course certificates can be added as appendices to your CV. -
EWEM is an MSc program. The four partner universities often have PhD positions concerning Wind Energy. You can visit the websites of the partner universities if you wish to apply for a PhD position

Yes, you have to choose which track you would like to follow in the application. During the reviewing process, the reviewers might suggest to consider you for a different track than the one you applied for. You will always be informed beforehand.

Students with a prior degree from TU Delft, DTU, NTNU and UOL are exempt from submitting an English lanaguage certificate. For all other students, please check this website. If your question is not answered, please contact the TU Delft Contact Centre. We cannot divert from the official TU Delft requirements. Non-EU students must submit their certificates before 1st April. EU students must submit their certificated before 1st July.

What should I write in my motivation letter?
Your motivation letter should be a clear and relevant essay in English (1,000 – 1,500 words) addressing the following:
- Your motivation for choosing the EWEM programme and your specific track.
- Why you are interested in the universities offering your track and what you expect to find here.
- If your track has specialisations or profiles, which specialisation/profile interests you the most and why?
- Describe your hypothetical thesis project: what kind of project would you prefer? What would you want to explore? Please limit your answer to three possible topics.
- Summarize in a maximum of 250 words your BSc thesis work or final assignment/project. Please include information about the workload.

At TU Delft, you can apply for EWEM and one regular MSc programme.

No, you can only apply for EWEM once every academic year. Therefore you need to choose your track wisely during the application process. You are however allowed to apply for other MSc programmes at the TU Delft next to an application for EWEM.

BEng graduates usually have specific curricula that differ from BSc graduates. Therefore, their curricula and professional experience will be evaluated case by case.

All students start their study at DTU. The program starts each year on the Monday closest to the 1st of September. Exact dates are mentioned to applicants in due course (including dates for introduction activities). Participation in the introduction week in the week prior to this start date is recommended but not obligatory.

The master program is a 2 years (120 ECTS) program.

There are 4 different tracks: Wind Farms and Atmospheric Physics, Rotor Design, Electric Power Systems and Offshore Engineering. More information about these tracks can be found here.

Yes, as long as it is approved by the EWEM thesis supervisor.

Mobility is mostly dependent upon the chosen track. The first three semesters are fixed (see programme). The fourth semester is dependent upon the choice of the student.

No. Any links we know on external scholarships are mentioned in the tab ‘external scholarships’ on this website, but EWEM does not play a (mediating) role for these

No, only students applying for a regular MSc program at TU Delft can apply for the Excellence scholarships or the faculty specific scholarships.

Erasmus+ is a grant that contributes to the travel and accommodation costs of students who study abroad. Students of the tracks EPS and RD can apply for the Erasmus+ study grant via TU Delft. Students can apply for a Erasmus + study grant for their first & third semester (based on conditions). Under conditions, students can apply for a Erasmus+ traineeship grant if they like to write their thesis abroad (under specific conditions).
They will be informed by TU Delft about the procedure. The deadline is six weeks before the start of the study.

EWEM does not arrange housing for EWEM students. However, EWEM supports student with finding student housing. This is not a mandatory service and students can also choose to arrange their housing by themselves.
