DUWIND lecture by Prof. Sandrine Aubrun
The TU Delft Wind Energy Institute (DUWIND) warmly invites you to the online lunch lecture by Prof. Sandrine Aubrun, Professor at the Laboratory of Research on Hydrodynamics, Energetics and Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA), Ecole Centrale de Nantes.
Title: Unsteady properties of the wind turbine wake – experiments at very reduced scale
Guest: Prof. Sandrine Aubrun, Professor at the Laboratory of Research on Hydrodynamics, Energetics and Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA), Ecole Centrale de Nantes
Day and Time: Monday, 29 November at 12:45-13:30h.

The link to the online lunch lecture will be shared with registered participants on 29 November 2021. You will receive an confirmation mail.
The lecture will be recorded. The recording will be shared the week after the live lecture.
Introduction
The presentation will focus on a few wind tunnel investigations, designed to model the unsteady properties of the wakes of wind turbines immersed in an atmospheric boundary layer.
The presentation will cover:
- Bottom-fixed wind turbines : Wake meandering due to large-scale atmospheric turbulent structures
- Wind farm control: Wake response to yaw manoeuvres
- Floating wind turbines : Influence of the floating motions on the wake unsteady properties
