Profile
Gerbera Vledder is a PhD candidate at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering in the field of comfort and ergonomics of people in mobility. Her work focuses on defining passenger interior needs for comfort in trains, cars, and airplanes. She has a passion for sustainable mobility solutions, by her research she hopes to make sustainable and future travel solutions accessible and desirable in comfort/discomfort terms. She does this by looking into how the experience of sleeping in transit can be improved or by researching the acoustic comfort of passengers in the more sustainable turbo propellor airplane.
