National Open Science Festival
31 August 2023 09:00 till 18:30 - Location: Erasmus University, Rotterdam | Add to my calendar
The Netherlands National Open Science Festival gives researchers the opportunity to learn about the benefits of Open Science practices. It is a place to meet both peers and policy makers who are already working according to, or enabling, the principles of Open Science.
Get ready for the third edition of the Netherlands National Open Science Festival! After last year’s successful event with over 300 visitors, this year the festival will be held at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Like the previous editions, the festival revolves around sharing knowledge and peer learning: it is aimed at both active researchers from universities (of applied sciences), academic hospitals and research institutes in the Netherlands, and policy makers who enable Open Science practices to spread throughout the academic world.
The double afternoon session Open Science Together sheds light on institutional, national and international policies and actions that shape Open Science in the Netherlands. With a broad line up of guests, we will focus on incentives, enabling responsible Open Science Practices and we will look into enabling Open Science via skill development and the role of communities in making Open Science normative.
Moreover, in several other community-led workshops and sessions you will exchange experiences and learn about the current state of affairs regarding Open Science. These will all be in-person, as only the plenary sessions and the Open Science Together session will be livestreamed.
