Quarterly report to education inspectorate

Today, TU Delft has submitted its first quarterly report on the implementation of the Social Safety and Integrity Programme to the Inspectorate of Education. The report comes after the Inspectorate’s critical reaction of 1 July to the ‘Plan for Change: the road to a socially safe university’, which was submitted on 15 May.  In its letter, the Inspection shared its findings in three areas: the role of employees (and students), the plan itself, and the role of the Executive Board. It also asked TU Delft to further develop the Plan for Change into an action plan and to report in writing on its progress every three months. TU Delft is, of course, happy to comply with these requests. Both the findings of the Inspectorate and the signals received from within the organisation are being taken very seriously. 
“We are committed to working together to create a socially safe and ethical university where everyone feels heard and respected. While we recognise that there is still some way to go, this programme is an important step towards sustainable improvement. We are building on initiatives already underway, and we are constantly learning and improving. With the commitment and involvement of the entire TU Delft community, we are confident that together we will make the necessary changes,” the university says.
