Ilaria Orsi comes from Rome, Italy, where she attended both her bachelor and master in particle physics at La Sapienza. During her master thesis she worked on a sensor designed for imaged-radioguided surgery, tested on prostate cancer patients as well.
Afterwards, she collaborated with the Italian National Institute of Health for testing a dosimetry detector system for patients undergoing molecular radiotherapy. Ilaria will do her PhD program in the Renaud group about ultrasound imaging inside bones, contributing to the advancement of such non-invasive technique to characterize tissue composition and to quantify blood flow.
