Opening Event Active Mode Lab
Dear Madam/Sir,
Active modes of transport are an essential part of any mobility system as they provide access to neighbourhood services and public transit systems alike. But why do people decide to walk or cycle? And how can we entice people to adopt a more sustainable (active) mode of transport instead of other vehicular transportation options?
The Transport & Planning Department of the TU Delft is officially launching the Active Mode Lab (AML). A research lab with the primary focus to develop theories, behavioural models and methods to design and manage active mode (walking and cycling) infrastructure, and assess the impact of active mode ridership on mobility patterns.
On this joyful occasion, we would like to share our vision and showcase activities of the lab. Yet more importantly, we love to invite you to jointly develop our active mode research agenda for the years to come.
On behalf of the AM lab, we would like to invite you to attend this event, which is scheduled for 22 Jun 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Lijm&Cultuur, Delft (Rotterdamseweg 272, 2628 AT Delft). Lunch will be provided.
