Education

As from academic year 2025, we aim to continue the MSc and BSc programmes Applied Earth Sciences under a new name: Earth, Climate and Technology.

The curriculum of the BSc Earth, Climate and Technology will also be renewed to ensure better alignment with the societal need for sustainable solutions to global challenges such as climate change, the energy transition and availability of scarce resources. The curriculum of the MSc programme will remain the same.

Earth, Climate and Technology is an international course of study with the Earth as its focus. We are dealing with the future of our planet after all. In Earth, Climate and Technology, engineers are trained with economic and social factors in mind. The emphasis is on technical knowledge and practical experience for an internationally oriented profession. The programme is based on theory and lots of hands-on experience. Important programme features include excursions, international field work, exchanges and internships. The great challenge of this programme lies in the combination of engineering and geosciences.
