Master's Thesis Awards Announcement

Dear Students,

We are excited to announce a special opportunity in response to the keen interest of companies and authorities in the transport infrastructure sector. They are eagerly looking to welcome talented and passionate master students. To honor your dedication and hard work, we have decided to offer prizes for students who excel in their master thesis projects.

The awards are set as follows:
The first prize winner will receive €1500.
The second prize winner will be granted €1200.
The third prize winner will be awarded €1000.

These significant rewards, kindly sponsored by the companies and authorities, are a testament to your commitment and effort. This competition is open to students from all modules and tracks within the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences who complete their master's thesis on a topic related to pavement or railway engineering in either the Section of Pavement Engineering or the Section of Railway Engineering.

Theses submitted between March 1st and August 31st each year will be considered for evaluation. The winners will be announced and awarded their prizes during the Transportation Infrastructure Evening (TIE) in November.

Our selection committee comprises two Module chairs from Transportation Infrastructures, representatives from our industrial sponsors, and several independent academic staff members not affiliated with the sections of pavement and railway engineering. The committee's decisions are final and aim to ensure a fair and impartial award process for our most deserving students.

We encourage all eligible students to participate in this rewarding endeavor.

Best regards,
