Public debate: Dissolving borders in the transition towards a circular built environment
On 12 December 2023, the Circular Built Environment Hub of the TU Delft and Research Group Henry Van de Velde of the University of Antwerp organised the public debate 'Dissolving borders in the transition towards a circular built environment'.
Both groups have been working on topics related to circularity in the built environment over the last decade, and similar insights emerge on each side of the Belgium/Netherlands border respectively. Rather than accepting national and administrative delineations in approaches to curb degenerative, linear developments, HvdV and CBE Hub cut across borders and disciplines to help establishing a regenerative circular built environment.
A broad audience of stakeholders, from various sectors and disciplines, discussed and exchanged ideas.
