Launch of the Centre for Meaningful Human Control
On October 1st, the Centre for Meaningful Human Control at TU Delft was launched, in an event at Mondai House of AI that was co-located with the release of the first Handbook on Meaningful Human Control of AI systems. Co-directed by David Abbink, Luciano Cavalcante Siebert (assistant professor at the Interactive Intelligence group), and Arkady Zgonnikov, the centre aims to connect academics and practitioners to conceptualize, design, implement, and assess systems under meaningful human control, fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders. The official launch was a fantastic success, with around 100 researchers and practitioners with diverse background such as philosophy, design, engineering, public policy, and .
