Minor Announcement
It’s nearly the end of the semester: a time to reflect on our work and share it with our peers. Around this time of year, IDE’s main hall is usually filled with exhibitions celebrating students’ work — particularly those taking minor courses, whose imaginative designs never fail to impress. Despite the shift to online learning, this year is no exception. The Interactive Environments and Advanced Prototyping Minors are holding online exhibitions and project presentations in the coming weeks that will showcase the results of their students’ hard work.
The Interactive Environments and Advanced Prototyping Minors are typically focused on hands-on prototyping and teamwork — a major challenge for staff and students alike this semester. But Delft designers are no strangers to tackling complex issues, and the results of both minors embody this problem-solving ability. In Interactive Environments, students were tasked with addressing the changing role of public space during the age of social distancing, whilst Advanced Prototyping students looked to the future of technology in prototyping methods and material usage.. Both events are sure to be inspiring for any designer, showing how creativity is perhaps more relevant now than ever.
The Advanced Prototyping Minor presentation will be held via Zoom on January 28 from 10:30-15:00. Visitors can join using this link. The full schedule is listed below. The Interactive Environments Minor exhibition will take place online and is available to view here, from January 29. On that day from 10:00, the projects will be presented by the student teams (see schedule below). Visitors can join this presentation using this link.
