Marcel Stive receives Jiangsu Friendship Award
In September, Marcel Stive received the Jiangsu Friendship Award from the governor of the province of Jiangsu (China).
This very prestigious award is attributed to only 20 people bi-annually and is the equivalent of a Dutch Royal Decoration. Marcel was nominated by the University of Hohai, that is fully focussed on water related topics and appointed Marcel as distinguished professor for the high-level foreign expert programme of Hohai. He received the Jiangsu Friendship Award as recognition of his educational activities, his supervision of PhD candidates and his dedication to the international research of Hohai into processes in the Yangstze river estuary as well as land reclamation north of the Yangtze estuary.
