BIWIC 2024

The 29th BIWIC – International Workshop on Industrial Crystallization

The 29th BIWIC – International Workshop on Industrial Crystallization will this year be hosted by Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, from September 11 to 13, 2024. The workshop organization is supported by Pro2Tech institute of Delft University of Technology.

The workshop has become an important part of the conference calendar for crystallization groups worldwide. The aim is to gather interested parties from academia, industry, and research institutes to discuss their work and exchange knowledge towards overcoming challenges and advancing the knowledge frontiers in industrial crystallization. It is also a great opportunity to initiate (or expand) your connections with renowned scientists and industry leaders in the crystallization field in a friendly atmosphere.

The first BIWIC was held in Bremen, Germany in 1990 and has since been organized in Germany, France, China, South Korea, Denmark, South Africa, the Netherlands, Thailand, Finland and Sweden.

Boat Tour

Everything looks different from the water, even history is experienced differently. In Delft you sail through the often narrow ancient canals. These already existed during important moments in the history of Delft and regularly even of the Netherlands. An experienced guide knows all about this and tells you many interesting facts about the city.

We will walk at 4:10 pm to Rondvaart Delft (±10 m), Koornmarkt 113, where we will gather at 16.25 pm at the latest. After the boat tour you have 1,5 h free time till dinner.

Sport Activity

We will walk (± 30 min) or take public transport to play football from 16.30 till 17.30/18.00 h. We will provide you a T-shirt but we ask you to bring your own athletic clothing, shoes and shower gear. In case of rain, we will go by public transport so you need to bring a mean to pay for public transport (your bank card with a chip or phone with applepay.
