Process & Energy
linkedin instagram youtube facebook twitter 0 The Process & Energy department of the faculty of Mechanical Engineering (ME) works along three main themes: Energy Fuel cells, Gas turbines, Heat pumps, Thermal Storage, Electrochemical conversion, Biomass Flow Turbulence, Transport Phenomena, Micro- and Nanofluidics, Granular materials, Multiphase Flows, Interfaces, Cavitation, Biological Flows, Complex Fluids Processes Process Intensification, Phase behavior, Membrane processes, Reactor Engineering, Combustion, Crystallization Mission We enable the energy transition by educating future (mechanical) engineers and by developing novel processes and equipment for the production and consumption of synthetic fuels, chemicals and materials. We perform outstanding research in the fundamentals (thermodynamics and fluid dynamics) and in technologies (energy technology and storage, process intensification and multiphase systems). Vision To be a world-wide recognised centre of excellence in process & energy with a focus on realising the energy transition.
