Lieve collega’s,
Na 8 jaar Sport&Cultuur/X als Logistiek Medewerker, ga ik weer verder naar een nieuwe functie bij het Newmedia Centre van de TU. Toen ik hier 8 jaar geleden begon had ik niet verwacht dat ik me zo thuis zo voelen bij de organisatie, mensen helpen, sleutelen aan instrumenten en apparatuur, meedenken met de docenten etc. ik vond het heel leuk werken, met slimme jonge mensen om me heen en leerde er ook nog het één en ander aan nieuwe vaardigheden bij.

TU Delft student team ‘Lettus Design’ has won the Urban Greenhouse Challenge

LettUs Design Team of TU Delft proposed a winning modular urban farming concept that can be tailored to the needs of a neighbourhood with poor access to healthy food, good education and the resulting lack of economic opportunities. With their design, the team won the first prize of the Urban Greenhouse Design Challenge.

New international arrivals and families in Delft are welcome to attend this event. The programme includes an overview of useful resources, an opportunity to meet fellow internationals, and a chance to ask questions to ACCESS volunteers about practical matters. This event gives you a better understanding of the city of Delft, the Dutch culture, and the services offered by ACCESS. The informative session is followed by a guided tour through the historic city centre of Delft. Welcome @FLEXINet

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy has allocated 5.7 million euro to FLEXINet. In the upcoming years, the FLEXINet consortium will develop hybrid energy storage systems – capable of storing both heat and electricity. Pavol Bauer, professor at TU Delft and project leader and coordinator: ‘The aim of FLEXINet is a system that accelerates the energy transition. We hope to make a substantial contribution to reaching climate targets by cleverly combining various techniques – think of blending recycled batteries with flexible heat pumps and the charging of electric cars.’

Event in a Box Alumni Borrel Calgary 04 August 2022 19:30 till 21:00 | Add to my calendar This year TU Delft celebrates its 180th birthday. We would like to celebrate this special year with alumni all over the world with the help of our alumni volunteers. Local alumnus Barend Dronkers stepped forward and will host a TU Delft alumni lustrum borrel at his home in Calgary* (in Cresent Hights) on Thursday 4 August at 19.30 . The event is part of our programme ' Event in a box ', where local alumni host their own alumni gatherings, with some help from TU Delft Alumni Relations. This year's lustrum edition promises to be good fun as the box will be filled with drop, cake and activities to let you and your fellow alumni celebrate the lustrum of TU Delft. Join us in this celebration while meeting up with fellow alumni in Calgary and let's toast together on our birthday! Register

Moving the Closet

PhD Candidate Rick Waasdorp is looking for ways to correct the distortion caused by the skull when using Ultrasound technology. ‘’My goal is to develop an adaptive method for skull corrections that automatically measures the skull of new patients.’’
